  • 12-month Full-Time/ Part- Time casual position

  • HE03 Step 1 $44.35 per hour

About the opportunity 

The Veterinary Receptionist will support the management of the day-to-day requirements of the University Veterinary Hospital Sydney reception. Activities include supporting general administrative tasks such as preparing documents, responding to queries, triaging calls, and supporting clients and students through the provision of exceptional reception service

Your key responsibilities will be

  • performing day-to-day administrative tasks which support the operations of reception at UVTHS 

  • providing an outstanding level of customer service to all internal and external stakeholders, including clients 

  • providing responses to a range of general enquiries via telephone, email and in person, from staff, students, clients, visitors, and the general public 

  • provide support with daily accounts administration including accurate invoicing, accounts receivable and client debt collection as well as reconciliation of banking 

About you

  • minimum 1 years' experience in a receptionist position 

  • previous experience in a veterinary hospital is ideal but not essential 

  • vibrant and enthusiastic, with a strong sense of teamwork  

  • kind and compassionate towards people and pets alike 

  • able to follow directions of hospital staff and communicate effectively  

  • professional, hardworking, and committed to providing exceptional patient care

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position
