Your new role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Venue and Event Coordinator to join our Curtin St George’s Terrace team. Based across two Curtin premises – 137 and 139 St Georges Terrace, Perth, you will liaise with service providers and external partners, to ensure the effective day-to-day running of the venues and events are achieved.

As the Venue and Event Coordinator you will also:

  • Process venue bookings and coordinate events, meetings, and conferences
  • Deliver a high-quality customer service experience, and have effective communication with stakeholders, including internal and external clients
  • Maintain venue operations which will include liaising with key university service providers, landlords and external contractors to ensure the upkeep of facilities remain at a high standard.
  • Promote venue opportunities and showcase the University to external audiences

Additionally, Curtin 139 St Georges Terrace will become a part time gallery space hosting the Carrolup Centre for Truth-telling portal. This will require engagement with Curtin’s John Curtin Gallery and University Advancement team.

Our ideal candidate will have proven experience working for a large and complex organisation in a similar role and a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in event and/or venue coordination. Your customer service manner and communication skills must be exceptional, allowing you to effectively interact with a diverse group of influential stakeholders and deliver a high level of service.

Experience using Ungerboeck (Momentus), or similar venue management systems is desirable.
