About the opportunity

Our Marketing and Communications division is seeking a passionate marketing professional to support the development and execution of strategic initiatives, campaigns, and partnerships. As the University Marketing and Communications Senior Officer, you will provide support for University-wide marketing and communications activities to enhance the University’s reputation. Utilising your highly developed stakeholder management skills and experience as a marketing and communications professional, you will work collaboratively on projects and campaigns that support the University’s strategic plan. You will also leverage your digital experience to strengthen our digital presence.

About you

  • has a degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience
  • demonstrates experience in the development and execution of marketing communication initiatives, strategies and campaigns in a large and complex organisation
  • has background and exposure to the digital landscape including content management and using analytics within marketing and communications
  • possesses highly developed, professional communication skills with strong negotiation and influencing abilities
  • proficient in writing, editing and the production of collateral materials across multiple channels
  • enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues and partners to ensure that strategic goals are met
  • experienced in developing and managing effective relationships with stakeholders across a large organisation.

Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. For a continuing position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian Permanent Resident.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
