Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a high performing professional with strong skills and experience in corporate or university governance to join our team.

The Role

The primary functions of this position are to:

  • Act as Executive Officer to several specific Committees/Boards of the University, by coordinating the flow of information and decision making in accordance with relevant legislation, statutes and ECU’s Standing Orders and Corporate Governance Statement;
  • Provide executive support for university leaders including email, diary management, preparation of correspondence, arranging stakeholder meetings and travel arrangements;
  • Provide clear and accurate advice on university governance processes to both internal and external customers; and
  • Maintain effective governance processes including management of various registers, recordkeeping and undertaking other operational functions as required.

The successful candidate will possess excellent written communication skills including the ability to produce high quality, clearly articulated and timely briefing papers, reports and minutes for University boards and committees.

Whilst applications from candidates with Higher Education experience will be highly regarded, applicants with strong corporate governance experience will also be favourably considered.

Benefits & Remuneration

This full time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $97,113 to $108,813pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
