  • Level 5, full and/or part-time appointments on a 2-year fixed term basis (2 roles available with 1.5FTE to be split).
  • Base salary range: $76,422 – $84,705 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the team
The UWA School of Engineering is renowned for its award-winning researchers, teachers, and facilities. It is a multidisciplinary school offering education and research in a number of engineering disciplines, including biomedical, civil, environmental, mining, chemical, mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering. The established and dedicated team of teaching and research staff provide broad-based undergraduate Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) along with postgraduate MPE and PhD programmes. The has around 100 academic staff, increasing student enrolments year on year and boasts accreditations from Engineers Australia (EA), EIChemE and Australian Computer Society (ACS) College Services provides academic administration and technical support services to the University’s schools, including Heads of School, academic staff and research students. The team is committed to providing effective and efficient services in support of the Schools’ and University’s strategic objectives, with a focus on continuous improvement and best practice.

About the opportunity
As the appointee you will, under general direction, provide expertise and a high level of administrative support to the teaching programs of the School of Engineering. You will assist with the support, maintenance, and improvement of the large Engineering units, spanning across both undergraduate and postgraduate units. You will work collaboratively across all teams to ensure high quality service provision and responding to changing demand.

About you
To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

  • Year 12 or equivalent competency.
  • Substantial relevant administrative experience at an appropriate level.
  • Highly developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet deadlines, including a commitment to providing a high level of quality customer service.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet, and email.
  • Knowledge of university systems related to teaching and student management is desirable.
