About the Role

The UniSA Online Marketing Manager leads marketing activity for UniSA Online, the 100% Online arm of the University of South Australia.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering a national marketing strategy for UniSA Online, working as part of the UniSA Communications and Marketing Unit’s management team. This will include overseeing analysis and optimisation of campaign results, including paid search.

You’ll be a practiced data-driven digital marketer and leader, with expert level personal communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as experience across the marketing mix.

The Communications and Marketing Unit’s (CMK) role is to raise the profile of UniSA and enhance the understanding and recognition of its strengths and diversities; internally, externally and internationally among key target groups including staff, students, graduates, prospective students, government, media, business, professions, other educational bodies and the wider community. The Unit plays a critical role in contributing to the growth of the institution’s brand and profile, as well as delivery of the University strategic action plan.?

Core Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute a marketing plan for UniSA Online aligned to the University’s marketing and communications plan. Develop and deliver an annual program of work that integrates UniSA Online activity with wider university marketing
  • Oversee the management and integration of all communications to UniSA online prospective students
  • Oversee the planning, production and distribution of marketing and communication products and tools that support UniSA Online recruitment initiatives and conversion strategies
  • Develop and maintain quality processes and systems for effective delivery of marketing activities for the University and UniSA Online
  • Communicate high-level marketing strategy, liaise with and provide advice to both senior managers and non-technical stakeholders across the University
  • Provide leadership to the team including performance management and professional development across each area of expertise


Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven record of success in the strategic planning, delivery and evaluation of a broad range of integrated marketing campaigns for a variety of audiences
  • Proven experience and demonstrated achievement in leading and managing multiple marketing projects that involves robust stakeholder management to achieve quality outcomes
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal, negotiation and best-in-class communication skills together with experience in relating to and influencing managers and negotiating with staff across all levels of an organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in the operational management of marketing activities including marketing automation activities, digital, print and advertising functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in the analysis and interpretation of data and statistics and preparation of high level management reports
