UniSA Creative is currently accepting expressions of interest for casual staff interested in undertaking casual technical officer contracts in the future at City West or Magill Campus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Under the guidance of Team Leader Technical Services, assist staff and students with general technical requests relating to one or multiple discipline areas listed below
  • Under the guidance of Team Leader Technical Services, supervise and support students across teaching spaces including workshops, production studios and technical equipment loans service.


Skills and Experience

Multiple roles are available across a variety of studio and workshop spaces. Each role supports students directly to assist them to develop their skills in Creative disciplines.


We are looking for Casual Technicians and AV Specialists with one or many of the following skills across our Casual Pool:

  • General Makers: knowledge of workshop machinery (bandsaws, drop saws, hand tools)
  • Digital Technicians: knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, 3D Printing, Flatbed Printing, CNC, Waterjet and more
  • Discipline Specialist Makers: knowledge of ceramics, glass, jewelry, sculpture and/or textiles
  • Broadcast Technicians: knowledge of digital film and broadcast equipment including cameras, lenses, tripods, sound and lighting, Broadcast Television, Multicamera Production, live video switching and streaming and/or radio programming and methods of content production
  • Film, Television and VFX Technicians: knowledge of video filming and editing and/or knowledge of Motion Capture and VR technologies
  • Theatre Technicians: knowledge of theatre technical skills including washes, focused lighting design, conventional and/or smart lighting
  • Sound and AV Technicians: audio post-production including editing, colour grading, sound post-production and foley, live audio mixing and recording in both live theatre and sound studio environments
