  • Leve 6, Base salary range: $84,665 – $89,477 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation

About the team

Dementia Training Australia (DTA) is responsible for the translation of contemporary knowledge regarding dementia care through the development and delivery of training resources to the dementia care workforce. DTA is collaboration between four Australian universities and Dementia Australia and is led by the University of Wollongong. Auspiced by UWA Western Australian Centre for Health and Ageing, DTA (UWA) forms a key linkage between research and industry.

About the opportunity

As a Training Officer you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Dementia Training Australia’s Tailored Training Programs (TTP) for Western Australian and South Australian TTP clients.

You will coordinate the end-to-end delivery of training programs for clients allocated to DTA UWA in collaboration with the DTA lead organisation. You will liaise with potential clients, conduct guided conversations to prepare a menu of training options and coordinate delivery of the agreed TTP. In addition, you will utilise existing processes and systems and contribute to development of further supports to ensure the efficient delivery of the national TTP program.

About you 

To be considered for this opportunity, you will…

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency
  • Substantial relevant experience in a logistics role, preferably with a focus on quality training service delivery
  • Demonstrated experience in training coordination and records management
  • Highly developed written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build constructive and effective relationships
  • Highly developed organisational skills in project and portfolio coordination
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively as part of a team

Occasional interstate travel may be required.
