The multi-million-dollar federally funded Trailblazer Program comprises a select group of universities with dedicated investment to accelerate Australia’s innovation agenda at-speed and at-scale.

Curtin was the first of Australia’s six Trailblazer universities, receiving $50 million in federal funding from the new competitive program to develop a research commercialisation hub for Resources Technology and Critical Minerals.

Your new role
  

Are you a driven and results-oriented professional with expertise in research and commercialisation at Universities? Do you possess exceptional leadership and strong consultation and negotiation skills and thrive in a collaborative team environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are currently seeking a Program Lead to join our team and take the lead on our “University Transformation” program within the overall Trailblazer initiative. As the Program Lead, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and reporting on the program of work in collaboration with stakeholders.

You will work closely with the Trailblazer Director and in collaboration with the University of Queensland (UQ) and James Cook University (JCU) to affect a deep and lasting change in the way commercialisation and industry-led research is embedded, facilitated, taught and rewarded at Universities.

To be successful in this role, you will have a PhD in a related field with a proven track record in high-level planning, management, and leadership skills. You will have experience in University academic transformation and have a deep understanding of the education system with established networks and connections.

You will need to be a natural communicator, with exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective and constructive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. You should be comfortable facilitating group workshops/training, hosting events, and have experience with public speaking.
