The Opportunity:
Join the team of dedicated administrators supporting the implementation and eventual business as usual Time and Attendance (T&A) processes across the university. As a Time & Attendance Officer, you’ll provide timely and effective support and solutions to stakeholders inquiries, as well as upholding a culture of compliance by monitoring reports and practices in relation to core Time and Attendance activities.

We are looking for a detail-orientated and attentive individual with previous administration experience. As a strong communicator, you will be confident in building working relationships and delivering high-level service to stakeholders within a large complex environment. This role is vital in supporting the effective roll-out of new and robust Time and Attendance processes and practices that enable the continuing uplift of UNSW's capabilities around time capture and pay confidence. Your day to day will include:

  • Providing high- quality admin and advisory support to stakeholders across time and attendance activities.
  • Monitoring and reviewing online timesheet submissions and approvals, triaging and resolving errors and non-compliance.
  • Reviewing and managing retrospective payment claims.
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies or issues related to time and attendance submissions and records.
  • Offering guidance and training for new and existing users in the use of Time and Attendance, policies and compliance obligations.
  • Ensuring the effectiveness of Time & Attendance practices against SLAs and KPIs and participating in process improvement activities.

This role will report to the Time & Attendance Team Leader.

Skills and experience summary: We’re looking for a strong administrator, confident in offering a high-quality service in a dynamic and complex environment. Practiced in organising competing priorities, you’re comfortable working in a fast-paced and complex in a collaborative and supportive team environment, alongside the following:

 Commitment to delivering excellent client service.

  • Experience managing and resolving enquiries and providing support to resolve complex queries / escalate as needed.
  • Ability to interpret and advise on policies and to support the resolution of queries and issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience in providing effective customer service support that fosters successful working relationships.
  • High attention to details with the ability to process employee information, ensuring relevance and compliance.
  • High computer literacy with the ability to use a range of software applications.
