- Based in UniSA STEM at the Mawson Lakes campus
- Full-time fixed term contract until 31 March 2022
- Salary range: $64,166 - $72,321 per annum (plus superannuation)
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Project Coordinator, this position will undertake a range of technical duties to support the commercial testing activities of STEM, particularly on the NIFPI funded project ‘Characterising Softwood Sawn Products in Australia’.

Core Responsibilities
- Conduct timber testing and calibration for industry stakeholders
- Follow defined test procedures and/or Standard Operating Procedures to undertake various technical tests
- Interpret test results within the scope and complete all testing documentation
- Ensure testing apparatus are always in calibration and good working order
- Ensure the test facility procedures and processes are adhered to
Essential Skills and Experience
- General trade knowledge experience and knowledge with relevant work history or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any other combination of education, training, and/or experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks while working to tight deadlines and using initiative
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Knowledge of best practice WHS principles and procedures
