Your new role

An opportunity exists for a Project Officer to join our technical team until the end of 2023. Your new role will be to undertake physical audits of significant scientific instrument assets and specialised fixed laboratory infrastructure within the faculty and contribute to the University’s efficient asset management planning.

You will liaise with the relevant custodians of the facilities and laboratory to obtain access and assistance with the equipment and undertake technical data collection and collate these into the University computerised maintenance management system (QFM).

The ideal candidate be able to work autonomously to the schedule of work within the required timeframe and maintain an accurate record of progress.

You will be qualified at a technician level, or have equivalent experience, and have demonstrated knowledge and skills in the use of computerised database or asset management software systems.

Effective communication is paramount, and you will have the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels, as well as the ability to communicate information and provide instruction to others.

You will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
