Hydrogen Storage Research Group (HSRG)
As the world transitions towards a future of green energy, we require new technologies to enable the widespread adoption of renewable energy. Here at Curtin, the Hydrogen Storage Research Group team (HSRG) investigates new types of materials for energy storage.
Our expertise in this area is used in conjunction with our industry partners to provide real-world solutions to research-level problems in the energy storage space. Our expertise spans multiple research fields, including those of hydrogen-rich materials, new battery technologies, and thermochemical energy storage materials.
Your new role
We have an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that provides technical instruction and support for Chemistry undergraduate classes and associated services for teaching in the School of Molecular and Life Sciences and research support in one of our premier research programs, the Hydrogen Storage Research Group within the School of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences (EECMS).
You will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of laboratory classes, including the preparation and maintenance of materials for undergraduate classes, ordering consumables and equipment for practical classes, and planning and testing of experiments before practical classes. Additionally, you will also support the HSRG research laboratories and assist in the efficient and safe operation of the activities. The role will see your time divided across the two complementary activities. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in the transition of the undergraduate student to a research program.
You will also ensure all Curtin's Health and Safety systems are adhered to, including developing Risk assessments (RA’s) and Safe work practices (SWP's).
Candidates also must have a level of fitness commensurate with this position.
You must have current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role as visa sponsorship and relocation support will not be considered.
