  • Commencement Salary: $104,143 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)


About the Role  

We are seeking a Team Leader: System Support to join the team within the Information Strategy and Technology Services (ISTS) at UniSA.   

With a direct reporting line to the Manager: Student Lifecycle Systems, you will be required to provide technical leadership to a team of system analysts and developers who develop and support the University’s Student and Customer Relationship Management systems, providing solutions, ensuring business objectives are met and identifying and implementing improvements in the performance of specific information technology functions.  

You will be involved in the complete system development lifecycle involving project planning, feasibility studies, systems analysis, requirements definition, systems design, implementation, integration and testing, acceptance, installation, deployment and maintenance. 

This position also takes responsibility for the project management of smaller projects, and requires highly developed coordination, stakeholder management and vendor management skills.

About Information Strategy and Technology Services (ISTS) 

ISTS are dedicated to supporting the IT needs of all staff, students and guests of the University and the wider community. We do this by providing a comprehensive suite of IT services and infrastructure that includes wired and wireless network and internet access; hardware, servers and data storage; software and apps; and audio visual (AV), telephones, and conferencing. 

ISTS provides quality IT systems and services to 3,000 staff and 32,500 students. Our services include the IT Help Desk, cyber security, student IT facilities on all campuses and specialist IT problem resolution.  We also develop and maintain IT infrastructure and information systems which enhance the University’s teaching, research and administrative activities. 

Core Responsibilities  

  • Provide functional and technical expertise, leadership and supervision to a team of IT experts 
  • Responsible for the day-to-day supervision and overall service delivery of the team 
  • Consult and collaborate with university stakeholders to analyse business processes and requirements 
  • Manage, guide, and actively participate in the system implementation lifecycle 
  • Develop plans to increase process efficiency 
  • Undertake reporting and ensure the accuracy, integrity and quality of all data output 

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experience 
  • Significant leadership and team management experience, as well as demonstrated stakeholder management experience 
  • Extensive experience in leading substantial implementations or upgrades of complex ICT solutions
