About the Role
The Team Leader, Employability and Global Skills builds skills development and employability of students through curricula activities such as practicums within subjects and internship subjects. The role will provide oversight and coordination of the suite of curricular employability activities and delivery of global experiences and skills development to support students. The position involves supervising a team of experts, collaborating with other professional staff, academic staff, and external stakeholders, and requires a high degree of initiative and self-management.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead a team in the implementation of employability and global skills initiatives and support them by setting broad direction, mentoring, coaching and supporting professional development opportunities
  • Ensure continuous improvement of systems and processes for employability and global skills
  • Resolve queries and problems accurately and in a timely manner ensuring provision of quality client service

Who we are looking for
We are looking for a energetic team leader with experience in leading, coaching and developing staff to build a cohesive and high performing team. You will have extensive experience in an administrative position that required coordination of complex functions, and the ability to interpret policy and procedure, and subsequently provide concise advice and guidance. You are flexible in nature, able to adjust your approach to tasks ensuring you thrive in a fast paced environment.

You will also have:

  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise in student and course administration; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including the ability to provide advice and support to a range of stakeholders at all levels while building effective work relationships, and the production of high quality documents and publications
  • High-level organisational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple functions and meet competing deadlines; to work proactively, plan ahead and develop solutions to unexpected situations.
