Overview
As Team Leader, Communications and Business Initiatives you will be in a pivotal operational and strategic position within a lively Contact Centre environment. This role sits as part of the Business Growth and Development directorate at ECU which is responsible for driving student growth and deliver exceptional customer experience.  You will be responsible for leading, developing & motivating a fantastic team to thrive in our high performing, values based and student first culture.

Our Communications and Business Initiatives team is an important team responsible for executing communications to our Future, Current and Alumni students, along with driving innovative new ways of working across key student enquiries and student retention processes.   

What you’ll do:

  • Provide support, coaching and development planning with your team;
  • Deliver best in class communications principles and engagement rates;
  • Demonstrate leadership when it comes to student retention and overall student growth;
  • Always look for more ways to innovate and improve the efficiency and way we do business;
  • Manage a broad group of stakeholders and build relationships across the ECU community;
  • Be strategically minded, build and support the team strategy and inspire future thinking;
  • Live and breathe the Leadership Principles, be an active member of the Communications Centre and wider Business Growth and Development Directorate leadership team.

Key Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a people leadership role with ability to coach and provide feedback;
  • Knowledge and/or previous experience with Higher Education;
  • Strong strategic background in developing/managing operational plans;
  • Proven track record with creating relationships and managing diverse stakeholders;
  • Background of Lean Six Sigma, Continuous improvement or driving efficiencies in processes;
  • Communications experience in a business environment.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $90,220 - $101,090 (HEW 7) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
