About the Role:

The overall purpose of the Teaching Focused Academic (Public Health) position is to contribute to the teaching efforts within the Public Health disciplines and to the broader college through relevant academic and administrative activities. The successful applicant will be required to teach into undergraduate Health Sciences and may be asked to contribute to postgraduate teaching programs within the Public Health Discipline.

This is a full-time continuing position at Teaching Focused Academic A classification, with a salary range of $82,415 - $100,373 plus 17% employee superannuation, working 36.75 hours per week.

An example of duties you may perform includes:

  • Working with Public Health and relevant other staff to develop high-quality materials to teach and convene units in the undergraduate Health Sciences discipline;
  • Participating in administrative duties such as unit convening, unit development, attending discipline and college meetings and/or membership of university committees.
  • Preparing and delivering lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, and workshops (as appropriate); and
  • Conducting and contributing to scholarly activities which further develop the teaching profile within the Public Health discipline.
