We are looking for a passionate and innovative academic with expertise in IT who not only wants to be part of this exciting initiative, but is seeking an opportunity to teach first year students as part of our VU First Year College®

About the Role: 

We are looking for a passionate and innovative academic with expertise in IT keen to take workshops and other sessions with students as part of our VU First Year College®.

This is a part-time (0.6 FTE) 22.05 hours per week continuing position, commencing in April/May 2024 at a Teaching Focused Academic A Classification Level 3 - 6, Salary range $82,415 per annum (pro rata) - $93,509 per annum (pro rata), plus 17% Superannuation.

We want to hear from you if you:

  • Have completed a master’s degree in IT or related field and have substantial knowledge and experience
  • Experience of higher education teaching in the area of IT
  • Are flexible and adaptable
  • Are passionate about teaching first year university students
  • Have a strong passion for teaching and a desire for continuous improvement and development in student learning.
