About the Role
Seamlessly coordinate the administrative intricacies of teaching and learning initiatives within the department of Management and Marketing, ensuring smooth delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and executive subjects and programs. Collaborate with the team to provide expert advice on curriculum development and delivery, coordinating teaching logistics like timetables and technology access, and ensuring efficient management of subject assessments and results.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Learning Management System access, updates, and staff training for seamless course delivery (e.g. annual template updates, staff access, content prep guidance, online assessment/marking).
  • Supporting effective course scheduling by coordinating subject offerings, enrolment forecasts, staff availability, and venue requirements. Managing timetabling data and communicating clearly with academics.
  • Providing advice and training to colleagues to deliver high quality support and ensure continuous improvement of departmental processes and resources.
  • Supporting academic recruitment and onboarding for departmental programs (including teaching allocation, contracts, resource access, and casual staff guidance).
  • Facilitating seamless assessment and results management: Communicating processes, collecting exam materials, providing technical support to academics, coordinating exam arrangements, and managing results return.

Who We Are Looking For
You are a highly organised and adaptable team player, whose exceptional communication and interpersonal skills allow you to build rapport and navigate complex situations with staff at all levels. A keen eye for detail ensures accuracy, while your strong planning skills and focus on process improvement keep things running smoothly. You readily embrace new challenges with a calm and collected approach, demonstrating initiative and a problem-solving mindset.

You also have:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline and demonstrated experience in an academic environment, or equivalent skills and experience.
  • The ability to manage competing deadlines and a high volume of work, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Experience and commitment to providing a high level of service with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to navigate complex staff interactions with sensitivity and sound judgment.
  • Strong initiative, and a passion for problem-solving, with a proven ability to identify and implement solutions to complex challenges or implement improvements when opportunities arise.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
