About the Role:

We are looking for passionate early childhood educators with current industry experience.

An example of duties you may perform will include:

  • Teaching certificate III or Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care 
  • Preparing class content materials including case studies, problem-based learning scenarios, and delivering classes online and on campus at various locations
  • Competency-based assessment and student evaluation including industry placement support

There are two full time fixed term positions available, working 38 hours per week. The salary range is from $86,846 per annum to $110,121 per annum and is dependent on experience and qualifications. Courses are delivered across our campuses and teachers generally work across campuses.

Conditions of employment will be covered by Victoria University's Vocational Teacher Enterprise Agreement 2019.

Our teaching team is looking for someone: 

  • Who possesses a TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment prior to February 2024 or TAE40110 with upgrade units TAELLN411 and TAEASS502
  • With a qualification within the Early Childhood field of study.
  • With current Working with Children Check. 
  • With a minimum of 5 years in industry to be able to bring your knowledge and experience to the classroom and the ability to display industry currency.
  • With excellent communication skills and “can do” attitude 
  • With relevant skills in Microsoft office, databases and record keeping
  • Current police check valid within 6 months or willingness to obtain one
  • Experience in an adult education setting desirable
