  • Continuing, Part Time (0.5 FTE – 36.25 hrs/fortnight)
  • School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences 
  • CQUniversity Mackay (Relocation support available)
  • Total Remuneration $51,342 to $64,610 pa (including salary of $43,385 to $54,597 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
  • Progression beyond Teacher Step 4 will only occur if an approved teaching qualification has been obtained.

Do you have industry experience in horticulture, conservation and ecosystem management, parks and gardens, or a similar field and are seeking a new challenge?  A permanent part-time opportunity has become available within our team to deliver CQUniversity’s Certificate courses in the Agriculture, Horticulture and Conservation (AHC) field.

 

CQUniversity’s School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences proudly delivers a broad spectrum of science and health related courses. All courses are taught by enthusiastic staff with extensive industry experience, expertise in research, teaching and consulting in their areas of interest.

 

In this role you will use your industry knowledge and your teaching experience to contribute to training the next generation of land management specialists. You will use your industry knowledge and relationships to make a meaningful impact on your industry from a vocational educational perspective.

Position Requirements

 

Essential 

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or a Diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education, or equivalent.
  • Vocational competencies equivalent to or higher than the level being delivered and assessed (e.g. Certificate III in Horticulture (AHC30716), Parks and Gardens (AHC31016) and Conservation and Ecosystems Management (AHC31421)). 
  • Current Industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided.  
  • Demonstrated capacity for best practice in the management of teaching and learning activities including delivery, assessment and evaluation.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills to deliver flexible, responsive and quality service to our students.
