Your role
The Coordinator, Sustainability involves developing and implementing sustainability practices in line with RMIT's sustainability strategy and goals. This includes leading sustainability engagement activities, managing the Sustainability Ambassadors Program (Working Group), contributing to ESG management, collecting and analyzing sustainability data, and building relationships with stakeholders to promote sustainability initiatives in RMIT and the local community
Report to: Manager, Sustainability
Key Accountabilities
Develop & Implement Sustainability Practices following RMIT sustainability strategy & goals.
Develop and lead annual program of sustainability engagement activities and events to raise awareness of key sustainability issues and build student and staff capabilities. The role will oversee all sustainability communication channels and develop tools, campaigns, and awareness programs to encourage resource efficiency and promote the uptake of sustainability initiatives.
Manage & develop Sustainability Ambassadors Program
Manage Sustainability Ambassadors Program, an initiative in training and building human resources in green jobs for RMIT’s students, to perform in sustainability engagement activities and events to contribute to RMIT’s sustainability goals.
Contribute to ESG management.
Articulate an ESG application that is directly tied to the RMIT sustainability strategy & goals.
Collect and analyze data related to sustainability and prepare reports for management.
Engages with internal stakeholders, presenting regular sustainability reports, and conducting sustainability assessments.
Conduct ESG implementation and propose an improvement on a daily basis.
Support in RMIT’s Sustainability programs, activities, and initiatives to support Sustainability Committee to deliver RMIT Vietnam Sustainability strategic goals.
Build collaborative relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders to embed sustainability outcomes in key programs and initiatives throughout the year.
Other tasks: undertake any other duties as required by the Manager, Sustainability.
Key Selection Criteria
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Environmental Management, Business Management, Digital Marketing, Project Management, or any equivalent.
Minimum 02- year experience in Project Management or Event Management in corporation, or similar field.
Demonstrated project management skills from planning through to implementation and close out, including the ability to deliver against targets, timelines and budgets.
Understanding of sustainability/SDGs/green building certificates is preferred.
Comprehensive understanding of management communication channels.
Experience in engaging with others to build strong stakeholder engagement demonstrating a creative, innovative, and enthusiastic approach.
Proven knowledge of sustainability concepts, including comprehensive experience in planning and implementing sustainability initiatives
Good influencing and challenging skills.
Ability to liaise with diverse clients and stakeholders with the ability to promote change initiatives.
High level of organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks, to prioritize and to meet timelines in a constantly changing environment.
Highly developed interpersonal skills, including coordination, liaison, negotiation, and multicultural communication.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure

Contract duration: 12 months

English Proficiency
English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS General 6.0 (or equivalent Linguaskill 160).
