We are currently seeking skilled and visionary individuals to join our Information Services function in the role of Support Network Engineer within our Network Management team.

About the Role
La Trobe University is looking for a motivated Support Network Engineer to join our Digital Workplace Services team. This role provides essential technical support in the maintenance and operation of our network infrastructure, contributing to a positive digital experience for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network systems.
  • Provide first-level technical support for network-related inquiries.
  • Support the deployment of network infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of network configurations and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Engage with users to understand their needs and provide solutions.

Essential Criteria

  • Basic understanding of network design protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Familiarity with network hardware (e.g., routers, switches).
  • Proficient in using network monitoring tools.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-oriented approach with a commitment to high-quality support.
  • Degree or relevant experience in a related field.
