  • Level 5, full-time appointment on a 12-month fixed term basis.
  • Base salary range: $76,422 – $84,705 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

About the team
The Oral Health Centre is part of the School of Dentistry delivering specialist treatment to eligible patients from the Department of Health and providing suitable patients to the dental students’ programme.

About the opportunity
Assist the Co-ordinator, Dental Clinic Assistants in the administration of undergraduate, general and specialist clinics at the Oral Health Centre of WA. The appointee will supervise the Dental Clinical Assistants in clinics and liaise with relevant staff to ensure all clinical requirements are met in an efficient effective manner.

About you
To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

  • Certificate IV in Dental Assisting or equivalent.
  • Current First Aid certificate.
  • Extensive experience as a Dental Clinic Assistant.
  • Supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound organisational ability, including a demonstrated ability to use initiative.
  • Demonstrated computer competency, including the capacity to maintain electronic records and clinical-related correspondence.
  • Demonstrated commitment to and awareness of cross-cultural issues.
  • Knowledge of the Disability Services Act and infection control guidelines and an awareness of their implications for service delivery.
