Overview
The Student Transitions and Employability Team is based in the Student Life directorate. They develop and run programs and activities for students to assist with a smooth transition into university life, enhance their wellbeing and sense of belonging while studying at ECU, and prepare for a successful transition to the workforce. The team oversees orientation, peer leadership, international student transition projects, equity group transitions projects, mentoring and various other current student activities.

As a member of the team, you will play an invaluable role in aiding this transition, collaborating with all areas of the University to provide support to all students.

The Role

As Student Transitions and Employability Officer, you will be an important first contact for commencing students and will assist Student Transitions and Employability Coordinators with events and ongoing university projects during the year. Your role will include:

  • Administrative support for projects, including emails and Salesforce
  • Updating Wiki with current policy and procedures, templates and documents
  • Updating Orientation and Peer Leader Canvas pages
  • Coordination and stocktaking of event resources and merchandise
  • Event support including TryBooking maintenance, room bookings and attending events


You will be based at Joondalup campus, with requirements to also work at Mount Lawley and Bunbury campuses on occasion.

Benefits & Remuneration
This fixed-term (to 1 November 2024), full-time position attracts remuneration of $71,918 to $76,598 pa (HEW4)  plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
