Position Summary

The Student Recruitment Events Coordinator is responsible for assisting in marketing-based activities specifically designed to generate inquiries. Under the guidance of Student Recruitment Manager, a mix of marketing and communication promotion activities (above-the-line and below-the-line) will be developed and executed that will specifically raise awareness of RMIT and engage prospective students for programs offered at the Saigon South campus.

The holder of this position is also required to maintain a flexible work schedule to coordinate and attend evening and weekend events, as well as maintain an on-call status where necessary.

Reports to:                          Senior Coordinator, Events & Engagement




Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute all recruiting and marketing events for RMIT Vietnam, Saigon South campus.
    Events encompass a range of external engagement activities, including Information Days, Experience Day, and Postgraduate events, as well as internal Student Recruitment events like Application Day and Highschool Tours
  • Manage the logistical aspects of the event, including coordination with suppliers to ensure the quality and compliance of services and resources such as catering, transportation, production, merchandise, and other necessary elements.
  • Collaborate on event reports with the Senior Coordinator, Event & Engagement to assess KPIs and areas for improvement. Maintain records for all events, including facility usage, invoices, payments/deposits, and participant survey forms
  • Assist the Senior Coordinator, Event & Engagement in developing the Student Ambassadors Team by organizing training sessions on public speaking, campus tours, and leadership training, as well as engaging events.


Key Selection Criteria

  • At least 3-year experience in coordinating and managing events
  • Good knowledge of venue options, F&B and event-related production
  • Highly organised, detail oriented and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision
  • Excellent customer service ethics and high expectations of quality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including negotiation, liaison, and cross-cultural communication
