  • Opportunity to manage and lead the student placements officers ensuring the successful delivery of administrative processes as a Student Placements Lead in the Faculty of Medicine and Health (FMH)

  • Base Salary of $100,032 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

We are looking for a Student Placements Team Lead to join the placements team in the Faculty of Medicine and Health (FMH).   This rewarding role is responsible for the management and delivery of the placement administrative processes for the team, ensuring they adequately support the academic learning outcomes of the degree programs. This role leads the team to ensure the delivery of placement strategy, the effective and efficient operation of the team, and the successful delivery of the faculty’s clinical and non-clinical placement and work experience programs across undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • manage all components of placements and professional experience for the school to meet Faculty objectives.

  • work on continuous improvement of administrative process

  • relationship management

  • manage reporting and compliance requirements for the team

  • provide effective team leadership, supervision and support to the placement team

  • manage risk and WHS within the Student Placements team.

  • actively contribute to the Placements Support Community of Practice

  • undertakes ad-hoc projects and other activities

About you

  • has demonstrated experience in delivering education programs, preferably in a tertiary education environment

  • able to provide supervision, training, mentoring and performance management of staff

  • experience with the use of clinical education and fieldwork experience to achieve stated education outcomes and professional competencies

  • excellent client focus with the ability to build partnerships between the faculty education team and the precinct

  • excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
