About the opportunity

The Faculty Services team is looking for self-driven and motivated individual(s) to join their high performing team. In this role, you will be using your strong administrative skills by reviewing and triaging student enquiries, responding to queries and applications, reviewing documents, investigating complex cases and sourcing solutions related to the effective, timely and compliant process administration. Faculty Services is managing mobility (exchange) and credit applications for students, incoming enquiries from the Student Centre, as well as enrolment and candidature matters. They will work closely with other teams in Faculty Services as well as across the Student Administration Services area such as Student Centre staff, Special Considerations, Fees, Admissions and Faculty staff.

This role requires strong administrative and organizational skills in order to coordinate and undertake a range of operational activities on an ongoing basis.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • manage the delivery of daily administrative activities and services that form part of the Faculty Services teams work
  • resolve matters and manage communication with discretion, tact and diplomacy utilizing knowledge of University policy and practice
  • provide advice and resolve matters that may arise with accuracy, discretion, tact and diplomacy
  • ensure databases, extracts and regular reports issued are aligned with business needs and established procedures
  • initiate, develop and maintain professional, productive and positive relationships with faculty administrative staff, academics and other internal and external stakeholders

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the position.
