Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Business Manager who will manage the day-to-day operations of the Institute and drive commercial and philanthropic initiatives to support our ongoing research and clinical activities.

Working closely with the Director of the Institute, this varied role needs someone who can oversee the administrative and financial functioning and lead commercial activities of the Institute. You will also build relationships within the University and with external stakeholders in Western Australia to identify and develop opportunities in line with the Institute’s strategic objectives.

You will be in a great campus environment in Joondalup, in the north of Perth, have excellent working conditions and work within an Institute that is delivering innovative, multidisciplinary and productive research in exercise medicine. Our team is making a real difference to improve outcomes for people with chronic disease. 

Our Strategic Business Manager will be someone who has:

  • Experience managing a team and business unit with sound financial and organisational structures and processes.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to source and act on opportunities which will support the future direction of the Institute.
  • Great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively using various platforms including social media.
  • Project management skills with experience in delivering projects effectively and within agreed timeframes.
  • Experience within a medical/health research centre, clinical setting or similar would be an advantage.
  • Grants management, research administration and budgeting are desirable.

Benefits & Remuneration

This full time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $106,877 to $120,376 pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
