About the role

Ballarat Tech School (BTS) is a State Government initiative developed to establish Victoria as the Education State.  BTS is hosted by Federation University to provide students access to high tech learning in a cutting-edge purpose-built facility.

The STEM Educator, Ballarat Tech School is responsible for the program development and delivery, resource design and continuous improvement of classroom-based programs.

About you

Reporting to the Associate Director, Ballarat Tech School, you will have demonstrated experience in designing, developing and delivering engaging educational programs as well as technical expertise of a range of technologies that are utilized in a laboratory setting. You will also understand STEM education principles within an educational context.

You will:

  • coordinate STEM programs through project management;
  • conduct industry, teaching and learning program research;
  • engage students by assessing their needs and adapting learning programs;
  • conduct professional development training and information sessions;
  • review, modify and continuously improve programs
