  • Salary range $71,280 - $115,614 plus 17% superannuation

About the role

Bendigo Tech School is part of the Victorian Government’s commitment to developing future work skills needed by young people – critical thinking, solution design, effective communication, working collaboratively, embracing technology, and the ability to work flexibly to leverage opportunities in the overlapping fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM).

The primary function of the STEAM Learning Designer will be to under the direction of the Head of Programs to develop and deliver leading-edge, STEAM-based, discovery and innovation programs to students on-site at Bendigo Tech School and off-site in partner schools.

To be successful you will have;

  • Relevant qualifications with subsequent relevant experience (see note on position descriptions below)
  • Experience in the development and delivery of programs aligned to Design Thinking, digital technologies, enterprise skills.
  • Expertise utilising a range of high-end, digital design production technologies in fields such as, but not limited to, Virtual/Augmented/Mixed Realities, Robotics, Coding, Advanced Manufacturing (CAD/CAM) and Rapid Prototyping, and Artificial Intelligence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially the capacity to work collaboratively and cooperatively in small teams.
  • Proven communication skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organisation and problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage several different projects concurrently.
