About the team

As part of UWA’s recently established Strategy, Planning and Performance (SPP) Division, which leads the development and maintenance of university wide integrated strategic plans, you will join the Business Intelligence & Analytics team. This team coordinates the development of a corporate Management Information System and the provision of timely and accurate business intelligence to support effective planning and decision making across the University.

About the opportunities

As a Statistics & Data Analyst, you will assist in the analysis of performance indicators relating to research, student satisfaction and scenario modelling. You will contribute to the development of analytical models, forecasts and visualisations to support strategic and operational decisions. In addition, you will assist in designing dashboards and visualisations as well as developing reports to address specific business issues. You will assist in the coordination and management of data collections.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • a degree qualification in a quantitative discipline;
  • highly developed conceptual and analytical skills;
  • highly developed written and verbal communication skills;
  • planning and organisational skills and the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines;
  • an ability to work collaboratively in a multi-team environment;
  • sound experience with databases, statistical packages such as R, SAS or SPSS, high-level Microsoft Excel and/or Tableau skills for
  • analysis and visualisation
  • the ability to assist in coordination and management of data collections
