Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, exceptionally customer focused senior administrator with experience working in a complex customer-oriented, high volume transaction processing environment to assist students and other customers in the resolution of complex enquiries.
The current vacancies are in the Admissions team, where you will be involved in reviewing applications from prospective students to assess their eligibility for entry, applications for credit and recognition of prior learning and assisting with the resolution and management of enquiries received via phone and by email. The successful candidate will be part of a diverse team which offers opportunities for team members to contribute to continuous improvement and to develop networks with colleagues across ECU. As a Specialist Senior Student Transaction Officer, you will be assigned a portfolio in a specialist area with responsibility for the coordination of complex query resolution and will provide specialist support for colleagues.
Although initially you will be assigned to the Admissions team, you may be moved to other teams in Student Administration as the operational need arises, and/or to enable your career development (Admissions, Fees and Scholarships, Assessments and Student Records).
We are looking for someone to join the team who demonstrates the following capabilities:
- Experience in a complex customer-oriented, high-volume transaction processing environment responsible for academic, financial or non-financial type transactions.
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills with a proven ability to establish priorities, achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Experience in providing specialist advice and support within a team.A performance-oriented approach with demonstrated ability to act with a high level of initiative, attention to detail, problem solving, analysis and judgement to provide accurate and appropriate outcomes.
Previous experience in the Higher Education industry, whilst not essential, will be well regarded.
You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry and Personal Excellence.
Benefits & Remuneration
This ongoing position attracts remuneration of $82,658 to $89,180 pa (pro-rata for part-time appointments) plus University superannuation contribution.
