About the opportunity 

As the appointee, you will be responsible for high-level solution architecture, ensuring that the design of individual solutions supports and aligns with the overall Enterprise Architecture and delivers business value. You will provide technical and architectural guidance for IT projects across all business areas during the entire project lifecycle from pre-business case concept development to project completion. 

You will work within a team of architects to ensure effective communication of UWA architecture principles, patterns and standards across all stakeholders. In this role, you will ensure that business requirements are in line with the overall strategic direction and vision, are well understood and communicated so that the appropriate enablers can be put in place.

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency
  • Certified in TOGAF 9 is desirable
  • Extensive experience in project and enterprise solution architecture with a track record of delivering projects aligned to strategic direction that achieve the desired outcomes, with demonstrated history in multi-stakeholder environments
  • Proven ability to communicate with significant influence, establish positive stakeholder relationships at all levels
  • Leadership experience in a field of subject matter expertise, such as integration, software development, system administration
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture concepts such as business models, business motivation, business value, services and processes with extensive experience in business and solution architecture development and strategic planning
  • Working knowledge of the Higher Education sector is desirable

As the appointee you will work to deadlines while managing multiple stakeholders across different initiatives. You will equally be adept at working in a leadership position in a team, or working independently. You will quickly build rapport and trust with senior stakeholders and position yourself as a trusted advisor to the business.
