Your new role
  

Come join our collaborative and skilled DTS Products team as a Solution Architect on a Continuing (Permanent) Full time basis. In this role you will develop technical strategies to integrate business, information, systems, and technology architectures. You will collaborate with a range of stakeholders to ensure solution designs meet business outcomes and the University’s strategic goals.


Key duties and responsibilities include:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop technical solutions to meet those needs.
  • Create and maintain technical architecture documents, including solution designs, technical specifications, and roadmap.
  • Provide guidance to development teams to ensure that technical solutions are implemented in accordance with the architecture.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance the solution architecture.
  • Participate in the design and development of prototypes and proof of concepts.
  • Conduct technical reviews to ensure that solutions are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
  • Promote an agile approach to design and development and ensure that the technical design supports and incremental development process.
Key Requirements:
  • A relevant degree of professional qualification in ICT or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Solution Architect in a complex IT environment.
  • Deep knowledge of solution architecture and design patterns both in the cloud and on-premises.
  • Experience with a variety of technologies, including cloud computing, database systems, web technologies and integration.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate to audiences with technical and non-technical background.
  • Experience working in a Agile delivery environment.
  • Strong presentation and leadership skills, with the ability to provide guidance and support to delivery teams.
  • Experience in AWS cloud platform
  • Experience using architecture modelling languages such as ArchiMate and UML, and modelling tools such as iServer.
  • Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF are a plus.
