About the opportunity
Reporting to the Solutions Manager and joining a team of seven, you will ensure that solutions are created and maintained in alignment with best practice and internal standards. You will also work on business as usual and continuous improvement initiatives, as well as with project services team members on project delivery. In addition, you will contribute across the full software development lifecycle from engaging with internal business customers, eliciting software requirements, to the designing and deployment of various solutions.
About you
To be considered for this opportunity, you will have a tertiary qualification and substantial relevant experience with developing, implementing, integrating, repairing and maintaining application systems. You will have a deep understanding of modern SDLC practices, such as Agile and DevOps, along with experience leading the design of enterprise-grade solutions and recognising and resolving system related problems.
To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency
- Relevant experience with developing, implementing, integrating, and maintaining back-end web services and applications using C#, or competency in a similar language and with enthusiasm to learn C# and the .Net Framework
- Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle with an emphasis on analysis and development
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to gather and document requirements appropriate to the applied methodology, e.g. waterfall, agile
- Ability to build positive stakeholder relationships
- Ability to recognise and resolve system related problems; work independently and make necessary decisions within guidelines
- ITIL Certification or demonstrated experience in ITIL processes is desirable
- Working knowledge of the Higher Education sector is desirable
