  • Level 7 – 8, full-time appointment on an ongoing basis. Part-time appointments will also be considered.
  • Base salary range: Level 7 $95,737 –$106,223 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation or Level 8 $106,775 – $116,709 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

As the appointee you will work independently and be responsible for ensuring that the solutions are created and maintained in alignment with best practice and internal standards. You will work on business as usual and continuous improvement initiatives as well as work with project services team members on project delivery.  You are required to contribute and provide expertise across the full software development lifecycle from engaging with internal business customers, eliciting software requirements and to research, build, test, support and document solutions.

About you

You are passionate about all aspects of software development with experience in the industry. You have a can-do attitude and are willing to learn and keep up to date with the latest web technologies and development trends. You work well in a team environment, share your knowledge with your colleagues, and backup and support your teammates when required.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent competency
  • Substantial relevant experience in developing, implementing, integrating, repairing, and maintaining complex application systems
  • Substantial experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to gather and document requirements appropriate to the applied methodology, e.g. waterfall, agile
  • Demonstrated experience in designing enterprise-grade solutions
  • Proven ability to establish positive stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to recognise and resolve system related problems; work independently and make necessary decisions within guidelines

Desirable:

  • ITIL Certification or demonstrated experience in ITIL processes
  • Working knowledge of the Higher Education sector
  • Knowledge of ORMs such as Entity Framework
  • Knowledge of JavaScript UI frameworks such as Next.js, React or Angular
  • Experience in developing in an Enterprise CMS
  • Experience with the Sitecore stack
  • Experience developing and using Restful Web APIs
  • Automation of deployment and tests using tools such as Azure DevOps
  • Test-driven development and Unit and Integration testing using frameworks such as NUnit
  • Knowledge of SAML and OpenID Connect security protocols
  • Knowledge of Microservice architectures and container development using frameworks such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • ITIL Certification or demonstrated experience in ITIL processes

Note: Occasional weekend work and some after-hours work may be required. A Current National Police Clearance Certificate is required for the successful applicant.
