Overview
Are you interested in supporting students during their placement and sharing your practice knowledge and wisdom?

The ECU Field Education Team are looking for Social Workers who would be available to support students throughout their field placements.

The Liaison Officer role maintains oversight into each allocated student placement. They visit the student 3 times throughout the placement to ensure it is progressing smoothly and resolve any challenges or conflict as it arises. The Liaison Officer ensures the learning is relevant to social work and assists in exploring learning opportunities. They ensure academic policy is followed as well as meeting the AASW accreditation requirements. The Liaison Officer is a representative of ECU’s and assists in relationship building between the agency and University.

Criteria
Essential

  • A qualified social worker with 5 years or more practice experience and eligible for membership of the AASW.
  • Access to transport, as students are placed all over the metro area (Perth).
  • Access to technology such as Microsoft Teams, as some meetings are needing to be held online e.g. for remote
  • Due to Government Mandates, it is a requirement that applicants for this role are fully vaccinated against COVID.
