PRIMARY DETAIL

Provide social media expertise and support in managing the University’s social media content and activities.
• From $104,726 to $113,545 per annum (HEW Level 7), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading.
• Full-time, fixed-term until March 2025 (parental leave cover). Based at Wallumattagal campus, North Ryde.
• Supportive and creative team environment. Hybrid working arrangement.

THE ROLE

Macquarie University’s Communications team within Group Marketing protects the University’s reputation, promotes research and supports the generation of revenue for the University locally and internationally. We do this by delivering outstanding storytelling through earned, owned and internal channels that engages students, staff, academics, industry and the wider community.

Reporting to the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing social media content across all of Macquarie University’s social media channels, and provide advice to stakeholders on the proper utilisation of social media channels and content to achieve desired communications outcomes.

About You

You will have experience in managing and coordinating social media content and activities across key social media channels for a large and complex organisation, including managing communities across these channels. You will have experience in reporting on key metrics and campaign results using social media analytics, as well as developing and producing video content for use on social media channels including filming, editing and post-production.

You will also have strong stakeholder engagement and ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships.

  • Experience working in a full-service in-house communications, marketing or digital media function.
  • Developing content across a range of social media channels and for a range of diverse audiences.
  • Development, planning and delivery of social media content across all channels, including content calendar development and optimising rich social media content.
  • Experience in evidencing outcomes across all social media channels across a range of output, impact and outcome performance measures.
  • Execution of effective and engaging community management on social media channels.
