The department of Management within Macquarie Business School is currently inviting expressions of interest from appropriately qualified and professionally experienced people to take tutorials in MGMT2022 Foundations in Human Resources Law during the day and/or evening. If you are interested, please register your Expression of Interest and provide the requested details and the Workday application process as detailed below by Monday, 20th May 2024.

THE ROLE

The Department of Management within Macquarie Business School is currently inviting expressions of interest from appropriately qualified and professionally experienced people to take tutorials in MGMT2022 Foundations in Human Resources Law during the day and/or evening.

Appointed casual academic staff are expected to undertake student consultation and mark assessments and examinations.

We engage with industry and government, hold regular seminars and contribute to public discourse through expert commentary featured in print, radio and online media.

Essential Criteria

To be considered for tutor positions, applicants must possess the following:

o A Bachelor of Laws Degree or equivalent post graduate legal qualification;

o Expertise in Employment or HRM Law;

o Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others;

o Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students; and,

o Demonstrated proficiency with computer network systems, relevant software applications and web-based technology.

Desired Criteria

Preference will be given to applicants who hold higher, relevant degrees, demonstrate higher levels of recent experience and have tertiary teaching experience.

Preference will also be given to applicants with experience in facilitating active learning approaches. This may involve actively engaging students with the course material through discussions, problem solving, case studies, role plays and other methods.
