We are seeking to appoint a Clinical (Veterinary) Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care, to join a team of outstanding world class clinical specialist colleagues at the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Sydney. Emergency and Critical Care is a core discipline in the training of the future leaders of the veterinary profession through a globally accredited training program, the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine as well as grow this essential discipline through supporting residency training. The University Veterinary Teaching Hospital is one of the core teaching and research facilities in the Sydney School of Veterinary Science a globally ranked veterinary school.

About you

• a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists or a Diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care or the European College of Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care that enables registration as a Specialist in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine in NSW

• an ability to work closely with veterinarians in all referral services of the UVTHS in a collegiate manner

• proven ability to manage a high caseload using best-practice principles and achieve operating objectives

• leadership capacity in the specialist discipline

• experience in postgraduate and undergraduate teaching desirable.
