To further support these endeavours, the School of Educational Psychology and Counselling is seeking two Senior Teaching Fellows where they will play an important role in contributing to teaching and supervising in the School. Please note that one of these positions will work from our Clayton campus (full-time) and the other position will work from the Krongold Clinic based in Notting Hill (part-time). 

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Head of School, the responsibilities of the Senior Teaching Fellows will include:

  • The delivery of effective teaching that motivates, engages and inspires students
  • Working independently and within teams
  • To plan and organise teaching and supervision activities, and prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Supervision of professional experience activities and students on placement, and 4th year research projects as required

The successful candidates will have:

  • Demonstrable teaching experience and a proven track record in achieving improved or consistently good learning outcomes over a sustained period
  • Proven ability, commitment and passion for engaging in academic activities
  • Ability to plan, organise and achieve work targets constructively with academic colleagues and other University staff 

Applicants applying to work in the Krongold Clinic (Notting Hill) will have:

  • Significant relevant experience in psychology practice (educational, developmental and/or counselling)
  • Psychology Board of Australia general registration
  • Area of practice endorsement (AoPE) in Educational & Developmental Psychology
  • Board Approved Supervisor approval with the Psychology Board of Australia

Applicants applying to work at the Clayton campus will have:

  • A PhD or relevant Masters qualification
  • Professional experience in the relevant discipline areas of psychology or counselling
  • General registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and/or membership of ACA/PACFA/ARCAP (or equivalent) 

We are recruiting for both part-time and full-time positions; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
