Senior Student Communication Officer

Exciting opportunity: Drive digital outreach, enhance engagement. Looking for someone with strong digital and communication skills.

  • Melbourne Burwood or Geelong Waurn Ponds
  • Part time 0.8 FTE and continuing
  • HEW 6 - $89,012 - $96,126 + 17% Superannuation (pro rata, part time)

As a Senior Student Communication Officer you will:

  • Plan and prioritises work and critical activities appropriately and recognises barriers to achieving outcomes, finds effective ways to deal with them and evaluates progress
  • Build new and productive relationships with a diverse range of students, stakeholders or key and influential individuals both inside and outside the University
  • Develop and implement practical, accessible solutions based on stakeholder needs
  • Seek feedback from stakeholders regarding their satisfaction and perspective with products or services received, respond to feedback with openness and transparency and seek to identify ways to better service the customer

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A tertiary degree with subsequent relevant work experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative field; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in communications, graphic design, digital content creation and/or marketing
  • Strong and proven skills and experience in writing, reviewing, editing, and updating content on digital platforms including websites, blogs, social media, etc.
  • Experience in digital content creation, graphic design, photo editing and production of high-quality video and audio
