We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategy & Market Analyst to join our CSIRO Land & Water business unit in an exciting, multi-faceted role!

With environmental degradation rapidly increasing across the world, more and more consumers, organisations and decision makers are interested in frameworks and tools to better understand the changes in the world’s environmental/natural assets. In response to this, ‘Nature Positive’ is one of CSIRO’s budding start-ups that delivers solutions for natural capital accounting, Taskforce for Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) reporting, and broader ESG reporting. ‘Nature Positive’ offers three main products:

  • GUIDE: an interactive web-based platform where customers can learn Natural Capital Accounting concepts and/or navigate the myriad of CSIRO and non-CSIRO solutions.
  • LAB:  a facilitated problem-solving session where Nature Positive Team engages customers to their needs, pain points and objectives, and recommend next steps.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally with different teams & stakeholders to conduct vital market research and competitor analysis, and identify new opportunities, trends and insights to grow the Nature Positive products and its strategy. This involves reviewing and monitoring of external market environment, competitors and industry intelligence/trends, as well as internal data & performance. This diverse role will see you applying your critical thinking skills, product development domain knowledge and your well-developed market research capabilities & experience to contribute to the project scope, management and delivery of these products, and to the marketing strategy to support decision making. You will also present complex concepts and recommendations to a range of internal & external stakeholders, and successfully engage with customers acting as a trusted advisor.

CSIRO offers excellent career development and professional support, and we are committed to creating a platform for you to grow your skills & experience. If you are looking for a role where you can bring your skills & expertise to create meaningful impact by contributing to solutions addressing real-world environmental challenges and be part of a collaborative & flexible work culture, this would be an excellent opportunity for you!
