Overview
We are seeking an experienced, proactive and motivated professional, with excellent and comprehensive clerical skills to support a broad range of administrative processes that contribute to the day-to-day functioning of the School of Arts and Humanities. Our School is located across the Joondalup, Mt Lawley and Bunbury campuses. This opportunity is predominantly based across Joondalup and Mt Lawley campus, with the occasional visit to the Bunbury campus, as required.

Working in a supportive team environment and reporting to the Team Leader Operations, this position will suit an individual who is self-motivated, proactive, organised and thrives in a busy and complex environment. The role works across all aspects of School administration support including human resource/payroll related tasks, financial processes, board of examiners, coordination of international activities, Teaching and Learning, Research, Executive and committee support. Your skills and experience will enable you to resolve issues, develop solutions and provide sound advice to key internal and external stakeholders. You will be working closely with the Executive team, and Academic and Professional staff across the School. At times you will be required to use your knowledge and experience to mentor School Officers and contribute daily to result focused team outcomes. Experience in the higher education sector would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated excellence in the delivery of comprehensive, high level administrative support in the areas of finance, international, recruitment policy and contract compliance in the higher education sector
  • Demonstrated experience in proactive and efficient high-quality executive support, committee support and committee governance
  • Knowledge and experience in the support of teaching & learning functions such as board of examiners, student appeals and misconduct with the ability to act with diplomacy and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information
  • Precise attention to detail, with the ability to use initiative and think analytically and laterally when sourcing information and resolving administration enquiries
  • Ability to work autonomously, take direction and motivate self and team members in a busy environment when managing competing priorities and deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate and network effectively with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $73,257 to $81,404 (HEW 5) pa plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
