As a Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer, you will be part of the Software Engineering team within Digital Services, reporting directly to the Digital Platforms Manager. Our team is a diverse group of professionals who work collaboratively to innovate and support each other.

As a Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer, you will:

  • Lead the solution analysis, design, development, support, documentation and governance of Marketing Cloud journeys and automations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Marketing Cloud with other systems
  • Implement best practices for platform management, encompassing maintenance, monitoring, scalability, and security, to ensure optimal performance and resilience
  • Develop and deploy continuous improvement actions to ensure implementation of continuous improvement strategies in your work area
  • Use your understanding of the client context to anticipate needs, tailor services, improve service offerings, and ensure high-quality outcomes
  • Act as a coach and work with team members to facilitate growth and development in the Marketing Cloud space
  • Stay abreast of Salesforce updates and new capabilities to ensure campaigns are optimised and to make full use of the platform’s capabilities

In your first 6-12 months, you will:

  • Settle in, learn the Deakin landscape, get to know your teams, and the technologies you will be using
  • Establish relationships and connections with teams while comprehending our vision, objectives, and team inclusion agreements
  • Work with your delivery stream and practice team to deliver initiatives, features, and change requests to improve the teaching, learning, research and administration experiences at Deakin
  • Become the voice and subject matter expert for your domain. Provide guidance and assistance on inquiries pertaining to Integration for various individuals

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training (Salesforce Marketing Cloud Certifications)
  • Significant experience and demonstrated expertise across multiple platforms, with a strong record of leading and completing projects
  • Experience in an Agile delivery environment
  • Strong experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud Platform DevOps
  • Proficient skills in AMPscript, SSJS and SQL
