This is a unique opportunity for a Research Officer/Senior Research Officer to contribute to important research focusing on improving Immunisation levels across the Asia-Pacific region and designing methods to improve disease surveillance, emergency responses and immunisation programs in these regions.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Collaborate with the Chief Investigator to develop research project plans and assist in developmentt of research objectives.
  • provide deep technical knowledge and project management support to the Chief Investigator and collaborate with academic and research professionals to support the group research
  • actively lead and contribute to research activities, designing research protocols, undertaking critical aspects of research work including formation of analysis and key findings
  • ensure accurate collation of research data, draw insights and analyse, report information from the research undertaken
  • facilitate effective communication and good working relationships amongst key stakeholder groups and team members

About you

  • two to five years of experience in research in the field of infectious diseases and epidemiology.
  • experience/background in immunisation, global health or emergency response to public health would be highly desirable
  • competency in mixed methods research, applied epidemiology, and statistical software such as STATA and/or R studio is desirable
  • project management experience in a research environment
  • demonstrated experience working across multidisciplinary teams and ability to build effective relations with colleagues and clients
  • scientific writing experience, able to facilitate, review and write for journals and grant applications
  • excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes
  • have a Master of Public Health or equivalent degree (epidemiology, biostatistics, etc.) Candidates close to completing their PhD in the relevant field are encouraged to apply.
