About the Role

As a Senior Research Officer, you will work closely with the research team and clinicians to help coordinate operations of MRFF funded projects and other projects focused on people receiving rehabilitation. Ensuring key milestones are delivered on time, you will manage the day-to-day supervision of team members by establishing protocols, coordinating meetings, creating project documentation, tracking financial expenditure, and evaluating the progress of the project whilst communicating with stakeholders throughout.

You will also have responsibility for:

  • Quality control, regulatory compliance, risk management, ethical governance, human resource forecasting

  • Undertaking scoping reviews.

  • Escalating issues to project steering committees or research leads, as appropriate.

  • Enabling consumer engagement by maintaining positive working relationships and strong communication with collaborators.

  • Liaising with interstate research collaborators, liaising with clinicians, data analysts and managers in SA Health.

About You

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced health care researcher, able to competently deliver complete, high-quality projects to set timelines and oversee the daily operations of health care related research. You are experienced in an area related to systematic/scoping reviews, health economics or health data and understand the complexity of health service issues, particularly for older people and those with rehabilitation needs. As a Senior Research Officer, you place high importance in stakeholder and interpersonal communication, especially in your negotiation and written skills, as well as discussions with executive staff and research participants.

Furthermore, you should also demonstrate:

  • A degree or postgraduate degree in a health care related field, or other relevant degree qualifications or an equivalent combination of extensive experience and/or training in research project delivery-focussed role/s.

  • Experience in creation of trials documentation such as consent forms, ethics submissions, and project reports.

  • High-level organisation skills and ability to forward plan research program resources, problem-solve, manage delivery schedules, and achieve outcomes.
