We are seeking a mid-career researcher to join our team for an exciting opportunity in the area of research focusing on the First 1000 Days of Life

The Robinson Research Institute is seeking to appoint an exceptional research leader to develop and lead a high performing research team working in a field relevant to the Institute's goal to expand knowledge and improve health outcomes in the area of reproductive and early life origins of health and disease.

The position will build upon the University's national and international leadership in fertility and pregnancy health, with a focus on basic science discoveries and translational health that ultimately lead to maximising infant health outcomes over the First 1000 Days of Life.  The successful candidate will have a strong track record in biomedical, clinical and/or public health research in reproductive, pregnancy, infant or children's health.

The research leader's commitment to innovative research, and ability to collaborate, is expected to build capacity and contribute to interdisciplinary initiatives and partnerships, ensuring outputs have national and international impact. The successful candidate will, in turn, benefit from an environment of creativity and innovation in the School and Institute and, as an emerging leader in the field, have the opportunity to contribute to setting the future direction of the Institute and greater leadership in reproductive and pregnancy health research.

To be successful you will need:

  • A PhD and several years' research experience post PhD in an area relevant to the First 1000 Days of Human Life.
  • A strong track record in biomedical, clinical and/or public health research in reproductive, pregnancy, infant or children's health, relative to stage of career and commensurate with opportunity.
  • High quality research as demonstrated by publications, conference papers and other research activities, relative to stage of career and commensurate with opportunity.
  • Demonstrated experience working within a research team and playing a lead role to achieve project goals and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in applied or translational research for development of new therapeutic or preventative health strategies relevant to reproductive, pregnancy, infant or children's health.
