  • Part-time 0.8 FTE / 28.8 hours per week, Fixed Term position for 12 months

  • Salary Level HEW 6 + 17% Superannuation

  • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working

About the Role

As Senior Research Administrative Officer, you will be responsible for providing high quality administrative and financial administrative support for the RMIT University Nodes of the Australian Research Council Centre for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology (CQC2T) and Australian Research Centre for Future Low-Energy Electronics Technologies (FLEET).

To be successful in this position, you will have:

  • Extensive experience in providing high-level financial and general administrative support to an executive or equivalent in a university environment or similar large organisation

  • Proven ability to work independently, use initiative and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines in a demanding environment with excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with a variety of stakeholders on complex, sensitive and confidential issues

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively, flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues within and beyond the immediate work unit, contributing to the achievement of team goals

  • High-level computer literacy with the Microsoft Office package, and booking and reconciliation systems
